Cymru MTB Classic offers a premium rider experience
Cymru MTB Classic is all about having fun on the trails. Riders can expect a premium experience where every need is catered for and serviced in the most professional manner, thus allowing each rider to focus on enjoying their time at the event. Daily cut-off times are generous to ensure that the time spent on the trails is remembered for years to come; riders will need to maintain a speed of roughly 10kph throughout the stage in order to avoid the cut-off.
Nutrition, water and carbohydrate drinks are freely available at water points/service stations throughout the route; trained medical staff are on course and at the end of every stage; a bike wash service will ensure your bike is cleaned and ready for the next stage and a complimentary post-stage meal and beverage are on offer in the Dolgellau race village after each stage.
The host town, Dolgellau, is one of the most beautiful places in Snowdonia National Park, and the gateway to some of the best mountain biking the UK has to offer.
The race village is a 2-minute walk from the centre of Dolgellau, and combines the registration, start/finish, catering, bike park and festival area.
Riders will enjoy a great sense community and camaraderie, while being within proximity of the accommodation.
Riders will pass at least two service stations on every stage of the race. A typical service station features sports drinks, energy bars and gels and a selection of fruits, thus ensuring that all teams’ nutritional needs are taken care of while on the route.
Tech zone / Technical support
Should disaster strike, bike tech support will be available at designated service stations on the route. Professional bike mechanics will also be on standby in the race village and will be ready to assist with any repairs and spares. Please note that payments for services and spares will need to be made on-site or can be included as a paid-for optional extra with registration.
Medical support is provided by professional rescue services and paramedics throughout the race. Medical support in the finish area is provided by professional rescue services.
Pre-booked massages will be available in the race village after each stage.
